With LED lighting, 95% of the energy is converted into light. That means that only a small part is converted into heat, so that energy consumption remains significant. An LED lamp can therefore produce as much light as a glow or halogen lamp with only a small part of the current. In addition, LED lighting does not become hot, which means that the chance of burning out is much smaller than with an incandescent lamp. LED is also better for shocks and vibrations. LED lighting can therefore last up to 50,000 burning hours.
