A T2 adapter ring is used to connect your SLR camera to the camera adapter of, for example, telescopes, microscopes, binoculars and spottingcopes. On your telescope you then, for example, screw a camera adapter belonging to the telescope, and with a T2 ring you make this camera adapter suitable for the bayonet connection on your SLR camera. You then remove the lens from your camera, and click the T2 ring directly on the camerabody. The Sony Nex is also referred to as Sony E-mount.
