Description
Bread and Beer is a strategy game for two players. By playing cards, you harvest resources, improve your village, and sell bread and beer. Each card can be used in three different ways. Slide it above the board for a harvest, below the board for a village expansion, or discard it to sell bread and beer.
How you receive cards depends on the round. During a strong year, you pass cards back and forth, choosing a card to play each time. During a lean year, you have to make do with the cards you receive, although you can trade a limited number of cards using the trading card field.
Whoever has produced the most beer or bread after six rounds wins. But there's a catch: whichever you produced the least amount of determines your final score. So, you lose if you bet heavily on bread while your beer production remained very limited.
