The cardboard has a natural brownish color that fits perfectly with current interior design trends, which emphasize soft, warm, and more natural colors. Its strong, coarse quality makes the cardboard more durable than regular cardboard. Recycled cardboard is coarse and thick compared to standard cardboard and paper—it's made from recycled paper and recycled pulp. Therefore, it also has a more natural, robust appearance that is somewhat similar to cardboard. Recycled cardboard has a rough, absorbent surface, which works very well with oil pastels, but you can also use other materials such as watercolors, crayons, soft pastels, and liquid paints.
