Description
The Shimano BR-M375, M415-M495, M515, M525, M575, C501, C601, C607, and the Tektro Auriga (pro-(e-)comp), Draco, Orion, and Aquila disc brake pads are suitable for various bicycles. These pads are made of various materials, including organic, sintered, and metallic carbon (semi-metallic). Organic brake pads are ideal for dry conditions and suitable for MTBs, trekking, and road bikes. Sintered brake pads are ideal for wet conditions and suitable for MTBs. Metallic carbon brake pads offer good braking power in both wet and dry conditions and are suitable for e-bikes. After installing new brake pads, it is important to bed them in to extend their lifespan. To bed in the brake pads, gently pull the brake lever while riding and ensure the pads contact the brake rotor. Drive for about 100 meters at 25 kilometers per hour, braking slightly harder at the end to reduce your speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. Then, gradually increase your speed while braking lightly. Repeat this process 10 to 12 times to ensure the new brake pads are properly bedded in.
