The Carson LD-75 is a ball magnifier with 2x magnification and a 75mm lens. A ball magnifier is a spherical, fully transparent magnifier that allows a great deal of ambient light. It is ideal for observing stamps, coins, photographs, or other flat objects. A bright field magnifier is also a useful aid for reading.
This universal magnifier features 2x magnification and a 75mm lens diameter. The convex shape at the top allows for extra (ambient) light to fall on the object, illuminating it and making it more visible. This convex magnifier is also known as a light field magnifier, a viso-lens magnifier, or a dome magnifier.
Application Carson LD-75
To use the magnifier, place it over the object. The weight ensures that the magnifier (and thus the object) stays in place. Place the flat side of the magnifying glass on the object you want to examine. The lens of the bright-field magnifier is made of acrylic. Compared to glass lenses, acrylic is lighter and more scratch-resistant. For easy and safe transport, a fabric carrying case is included.
