Description
The Carson AS-95 is a compact handheld magnifier with 2x magnification, a 110mm lens, and built-in LED lighting. It's ideal for reading small print, even in low-light conditions. The magnifier features an aspherical lens, which provides a clearer image while significantly reducing edge-to-edge distortion.
To further magnify small objects, it has a spot lens (7x magnification). This is located in the handle. The magnifier has an ergonomic plastic handle. The handle magnifier has three LED lights, which are powered by two AAA batteries (not included). These batteries are installed in the compartment at the bottom of the handle. You can switch the light on and off manually, and you can also adjust the LEDs to two brightness levels. This is controlled by the slider on the housing.
The lens is made of crystal-clear acrylic. Compared to glass, acrylic is lighter and more scratch-resistant.
