Wegens deze alarme- rende vaststelling heeft het management een nieuw veiligheidssysteem geïnstalleerd om toekomstig onheil te voorkomen. Maximum Security omvat 13 modules die je in gelijk welke combinatie kan gebruiken om je speelsessies te verrijken. Er zijn nieuwe veiligheidsmaatregelen die voor meer moeilijkheden zorgen (bewakers, een Betrachter, bewegingsdetectoren en gesloten deu- ren), maar er zijn ook nieuwe mogelijkheden die de taak van de helden iets vergemakkelijkt (door ventilatieschachten klimmen, door muren breken, toverspreuken gebruiken en zelfs de su- permarkt herinrichten).
