Unlike standard radial bearings, where only three or four balls contact the load at a time, Angular Contact (A/C) bearings engage ALL the balls, distributing the force over a larger surface area to reduce friction and minimize wear. This allows for adjustment of wheel play, resulting in a more stable wheel and making it easier to adjust disc brakes while allowing the wheel to rotate freely.
