The XS508M features five-speed copper Ethernet ports: FastEthernet, 1-Gigabit, 2.5-Gigabit, 5-Gigabit, and 10-Gigabit. It also has one SFP+ fiber port with 1-Gigabit and 10-Gigabit speeds.
- Each port automatically detects which speed is required for the connected device and provides the appropriate speed.
- Unlike regular 10-Gigabit switches that only provide 1-Gigabit connectivity to any device requiring less than 10-Gigabit, the XS508M delivers the exact speed required without downgrading.
- The five-speed Netgear switch ports can be connected using standard CAT5e Ethernet cables, eliminating the need to upgrade to CAT6 cabling. This saves you money on wiring and reduces hassle.
- Plug-and-play, automatically connects to your router or modem with four or seven additional wired connections. No IT expert required.
