ABEC 5: A standard value used to measure the surface tolerance of roller bearings. There are five classes: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. The higher the ABEC class, the greater the precision, efficiency, and speed capacity, but the highest ABEC classes are not necessarily the fastest-rotating components. All quality manufacturers worldwide use at least ABEC 1 as the standard. For Enduro, the minimum standard is ABEC 3. ABEC 5: Steel balls. Grade 5: Balls with a spherical shape with a precision of 5/1,000,000. This is military-grade and therefore excellent for use in precision applications. ABEC 5 standard: This bearing must pass all tests; these are noise at high speed, very tight tolerances regarding accuracy of the internal and external diameters, perfect sphericity, track accuracy, and the finish of both track and ball. These bearings are treated with a high-quality Teflon lubricant (Rheolube 374A). LLB: Our most popular seal, consisting of a rubber seal with a metal core. Unlike the standard 2RS, we go a step further by machining a groove into the inner ring, where the seal can rotate with excellent efficiency and resistance compared to a lesser bearing. Rather than a single, thick seal "lip" that rubs against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses two lips of seal, fine as a razor blade, that slide in a groove with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps out water and impurities, while the inner seal retains the grease for smooth rotation and long service intervals.
