Kool-Stop disc brake pads are made of organic materials mixed and bonded together with a resin. The compound contains small amounts of metal to enhance the braking formula, but the pads are largely organic. They can also be described as semi-metallic. During testing, we've found that our disc brake pads are gentle on the rotor and provide high braking performance throughout the life of the pad.
