Azuleojos are ceramic tiles originating from the Moors. These tiles are decorated with beautiful Moorish motifs and became popular with King Manuel I of Portugal after his visit to the Alhambra in Spain. He had his own Évora palace in Portugal decorated with similar tiles. In the tactical game Azul, players are tasked with decorating the walls of the royal palace in Évora. They must create patterns, cover the walls, and score as many points as possible to win!
