Goki Wooden Kalaha

Kalaha is one of the oldest strategy games in the world. A similar form of this game was already known to the ancient Egyptians and Assyrians. Therefore, the game goes by several names, such as Mancale or Awale.

• The aim of the game is to collect as many stones as possible in your own Kalaha pit.
• It doesn't matter which player starts.
• This player distributes the contents of one of his pits clockwise, i.e. counterclockwise, to the next pits (his own and the opponent's), but places only one stone in each pit.
• One stone is also placed in one's own Kalaha pit, but the opponent's stone is skipped each time.
• If the last stone lands in one's own Kalaha pit, one may or must play again.
• If the last stone falls into one's own empty playing hole, one may remove all stones that are directly in the opponent's playing hole opposite and place them in one's own Kalaha hole.
