Description

The bison is the largest mammal in North America, and this bull is a particularly beautiful specimen. He stands confidently in the lush meadow with broad legs, grazing with gusto. Then, suddenly, he jerks his head upward. Did he hear something? The bison turns his large head to the side and looks out over the vast plain. Nothing to see. He continues grazing happily. He's a gentle giant. But if necessary, he'll bravely defend himself and his herd. You probably didn't expect it: he can run incredibly fast. Up to 56 km per hour! Once he's up to speed, he hurtles toward his opponent like a massive avalanche. Fortunately, this only happens in emergencies.
