This set of 25 pairs of sintered disc brake pads is suitable for Avid DB1/DB3 brakes. With Elvedes, you're choosing excellent value for money, and with the steel Elvedes Discovery display, you'll always have the right brake pads at your fingertips in your workshop.
- Compound: The brake pads are made of different materials. Elvedes offers a choice of three different compounds with high braking power for every bike and every weather condition.
- Organic: Ideal for dry conditions. Suitable for mountain biking, trekking, and road cycling.
- Sintered: Ideal for wet conditions. Suitable for mountain biking.
- Metallic carbon (semi-metallic): Ideal for both wet and dry conditions. Suitable for e-bikes.
After installing the new brake pads, it's important to bed them in to extend their lifespan. To properly bed in the brake pads, gently pull the brake lever while riding, ensuring the pads make contact with the brake rotor. Ride for about 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour (15 mph), then brake harder at the end to reduce your speed to about 5 kilometers per hour (3 mph). Then slowly increase your speed while braking lightly. Repeat this process 10 to 12 times to properly bed in the new brake pads.
