Description
Soft linoleum on a canvas base. Ideal as a printing plate after cutting out images and lines in the base using a linoleum knife. Draw the desired image on the base with a pencil and cut it out with a linoleum knife, either along the line or behind the line. Always ensure that the direction you cut is away from you, as the knives can be very sharp. Apply the lino ink evenly to the printing block with a linoleum roller, place a piece of paper over the printing block, and roll over the back of the paper—unless you have an etching press, which can produce an even sharper print.
