This set of 25 pairs of sintered disc brake cubes is suitable for the Avid DB1/DB3 brakes. With Elvedes you choose a good price/quality ratio and with the steel Elvedes Discovery Display you always have the right brake pads within reach in your workshop.
- Compound: The brake pads are made of different materials. Elvedes offers a choice of three different compounds with a high braking power for every bike and every weather condition.
- Organic: ideal for dry conditions. Suitable for MTB, trekking and racing bikes.
- Sintered: ideal for wet conditions. Suitable for MTB.
- Metallic carbon (semi-metal): ideal for both wet and dry weather conditions. Suitable for e-bike.
After mounting the new brake pads it is important to inhibit them, this extends the lifespan. To brake the brake pads properly, keep the brake lever lightly attracted while driving and ensure that the brake pads touch the brake disc. Drive approximately 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and brake a little faster at the end to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. Then you slowly increase the speed while slightly braking. Repeat this process 10 to 12 times for a good inhibition of the new brake pads.
