The Aqua Phos Adsorber Vijverwater treatment from Ubbink is a liquid pond water care product that effectively reduces the phosphate content of the pond water and prevents algae feeding and increasing.
In addition to carbon and nitrogen, phosphate is the nutrient and the restrictive growth factor for algae. Algae cannot grow without phosphate. Food residues, fish fencing, leaves, pollen, etc. all provide phosphate in ponds. If the quantities are too high and your pond plants can no longer absorb phosphate, algae begin to grow. The Aqua Phos Adsorber removes this unwanted nutrient from the water.
Remark: Aqua Phos Adsorber should be used when the phosphate content of the pond water is higher than 0.035 mg/l.
