The 39 Watt 73.3 x 27.4 cm is a safe heat source for under terraria for reptiles such as snakes, lizards and amphibians. Heat is essential for reptiles and amphibians. These animals are Ecotherm and therefore dependent on external heat sources to be able to regulate the body temperature, such as this heat mat from Komodo. The mats are made of sturdy material and are also very suitable as a secondary heat source, even during the night because they do not release light.
