Rik and Jesper live (almost) next to each other, with one house in between. That in itself is not so bad, but unfortunately the sour neighbor Arie Zemelaar lives there, who hates children and noise. That's a bad thing, because Rik and Jesper are building like crazy! And that makes noise. And sometimes things go wrong, like on the day of The Disaster. It has something to do with an underground tunnel system, a large number of bizarre buildings and a plague of special pets. In this humorous and adventurous graphic novel, text and images come together in an inventive way: illustrations, handwritten text and comics by Tamara Boon alternate to bring the story completely to life.
