The Cyclon Chain keeper is an indispensable tool for cleaning and maintaining your racing bike, mountain bike or cyclocrosser. This should not be missing in your maintenance set. Especially when you place the bike in a working standard and remove the rear wheel, the Chain keeper offers a lot of space to clean the necklace, derailleur wheels and other hard -to -reach parts of the bike. At the same time, the Chain keeper keeps the chain on tension and prevents it from getting against the frame.
- Use the Chain keeper in combination with the existing axis to optimally clean and maintain your powertrain.
- Mounting the chain keeper is simple:
- Remove the rear wheel from your bike. Pull the upper derailleur wheel backwards to create enough space to remove the wheel.
- Remove the quick release axle or thru axle from the rear wheel. Slide the chain keeper on the axle and put it back in position, placing the chain in the recess of the chain keeper. Tip: Save an old axis and use it in combination with the Chain keeper, so that you don't have to get it in and out of your wheel while cleaning.
- You now have easy access to all parts of the powertrain to properly maintain and lubricate them. Moreover, the pedals can run freely and you can switch on and back while the Chain keeper is in place.
- Put your rear wheel back in your bike. Here too you have to create some space by moving the upper derailleur wheel backwards. Your bike is now ready for your next ride!
