These 4-season bird fat balls from Esschert Design offer a nutritious mix of energy-rich raw materials that are perfect for feeding wild birds all year round.
Birds are very busy in the spring. First they have to find a partner, then find a living space, lay eggs and raise their young. In the summer they shed and get a new fur. In the fall they prepare for the winter and in the winter they need more fat to keep themselves at the right temperature. Birds can lose 10% of their body weight during a cold night.
These fat balls contain grains, such as wheat and black oats, and seeds, such as sunflower seeds. They are also supplied without the plastic net, which is better for the birds and the environment. The holder consists of a steel basket on chains to easily hang it in your garden or on your balcony. You can fill the holder with one of the 35 fat balls.
