Stay under the goat limit in this original trick-taking game! "Bokken Schieten" (Goat Shooting) is a card game that 999 Games successfully released 15 years ago, but is now self-published in a new format. The game has more depth than you might initially think and is also an excellent stepping stone to more challenging trick-taking games like Wizard and The Crew. In this original trick-taking game, you try to collect as many goats as possible without exceeding the limit. You start with 8 cards. Each player plays one card, a trick, face up on the table. The player who played the lowest-value card draws a hill card and places it face up, choosing one of the two values on it. The player who played the highest-value card wins the trick and starts the next one. This continues until all cards have been played. The hill is completed after 4 tricks and determines the goat limit. Whoever has collected the most goats after 8 tricks and hasn't exceeded the goat limit wins the game. You can also choose to play multiple rounds and record the scores.
