The Boya USB Studio Microphone BY-PM700 is a versatile condenser microphone suitable for various applications such as voice recording, interviews, conference calls, vocals, instruments, and podcasts. With the BY-PM700, you can choose from four different recording characteristics:
- Stereo: Sounds from the sides are recorded, and sounds from the front and rear are filtered. This is ideal for stereo recording of general audio.
- Cardioid: sounds from the front are recorded and sounds from other directions are ignored. This is suitable for recording dialogue, podcasts, and speeches.
- Omnidirectional: Sounds from all directions are captured evenly. This ensures a vibrant and natural recording of vocals and ambient sounds.
- Bidirectional: sounds from the front and back are recorded, and sounds from the sides are filtered out. This is ideal for recording an interview between two people or instruments.
The BY-PM700 is compatible with both Windows and macOS and easily connects to your computer using the included USB cable. No batteries are required, as the microphone is powered by your computer. Using software like Audacity or Audition, you can easily record and save audio directly. The microphone features a volume control and mute function on the front, and can also be mounted on a tripod using the 5/8" female thread on the bottom.
