Description

With its characteristic black-and-white fur pattern, the Giant Panda is a true beauty. Its paws and shoulders are black, and its back and head are white. Especially beautiful: its small ears, muzzle, and especially the fur around its eyes are black. It looks fantastic. With its striking black-and-white fur and black circles around its eyes, the Giant Panda looks like a cuddly toy. But it doesn't have time for cuddling. The bear, which can weigh up to 160 kilograms (350 lbs), has to forage for its food. Because it almost exclusively eats bamboo, but the plant isn't particularly nutritious, its meal takes up to 16 hours each day. No wonder, since it has to digest up to 40 kilograms (88 lbs) of bamboo. It simply takes time. Too bad, no time to play!
