For very muddy conditions, a chain guide in combination with a clutch rear derailleur is recommended.\n\nTechnology:\nDrop-Stop® B\nWolf Tooth has invested countless hours in the design, prototyping and testing of their Wide-Narrow chainrings and has developed a highly innovative tooth profile. Test riders around the world have confirmed that this design brings unparalleled performance.\nThe right side of the chainring tooth has a different shape than the left side. The right side transmits the power to the chain and the left side opens a free space for cleaning mud and dirt. Since the two sides have completely different functions, it makes sense to design them differently, true to the motto: extra reinforcement where you need it, less material where you don't.\nThe right side of the Drop-Stop tooth is as wide as possible to distribute the load over a larger area, which also minimises wear. The left side of the Drop-Stop tooth helps to guide the chain, but it does not transmit any load. Therefore, the left side is narrower than the chain roller. Wear is not an issue on this side, so Wolf Tooth was able to save material and create a better mud clearance channel. More free space means less friction and less chance of the chain being dropped due to mud.\nIn the B version, the Drop-Stop profile is optimised for use on wheels with drop bars. The teeth are slightly narrower and the valleys between the teeth are deeper to accommodate the larger rollers of SRAM Flattop chains. The outer sides of the narrow and wide teeth touch the chain to guide it.\n\nManufacturer Numbers:\n38 tooth: 13038FT\n40 tooth: 13040FT\n42 tooth: 13042FT\n44 tooth: 13044FT\n46 tooth: 13046FT\n48 tooth: 13048FT\n50 tooth: 13050FT\n52 tooth: 13052FT\n\nContents:\n- 1 x\n\nWeight:\n- black | 38: 52 g\n- black | 40: 60 g\n- black | 42: 62 g\n\nManufacturer: Wolf Tooth Components\n6400 W 105th St\nBloomington\nMN 55438\nUSA\ninfo@wolftoothcomponents.com\n\nDistributor: Cosmic Sports GmbH\nLeyher Straße 47\n90763 Fürth\nGermany\ninfo@cosmicsports.de","brand":"Wolf Tooth Components","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":56820358316410,"sku":"0810006801439","price":142.99,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0841\/3478\/9439\/files\/17a1bec190891d35.jpg?v=1778348559","url":"https:\/\/www.tormino.com\/products\/wolf-tooth-components-130-bcd-gravel-cx-road-chainring","provider":"Tormino","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
