Bread and beer is a strategic game for 2 players. By playing cards you harvest raw materials, improve your village and sell your beer and bread. Each card can be used in three different ways. Slide the card above the game board for a harvest, under the game board for an extension of the village or lay the card to sell beer and bread.

The way you get cards depends on the round. During a strong year you pass on hand cards back and forth, where you always choose a card to play. During a lean year you have to do with the cards you get, although you can exchange limited cards with the exchange card field.

Anyone who has produced the most beer or bread after six rounds wins. But there is a small snag. What you have produced the least number of, determines your final score. So if you have focused enormously on bread, while your production has remained very limited in terms of beer.
