The number of watts is the energy consumption of the lamp. The number of watts is the consumption per hour. A 60w lamp that is on for 10 hours, therefore consumes 60 x 10 = 600 watt hours What are Lumen (LM)? Lumen is unity for light yield. The higher the number of lumens, the more light the lamp gives. So this has nothing to do with the color of the light. To compare lamps, it is best to compare the number of lumens.
