Product Description - With extra protection for long race days The SH-RX801 shoe is also available in the Rally Edition SH-RX801R, called RX8R for short. It was specially designed by Shimano for long gravel races in difficult conditions. Knit cuffs that finish it off at the top and provide a seamless transition to the foot offer additional protection from dirt and pebbles. All other features are comparable to the standard model. The shoe has a BOA Li2 twist closure with rubber grip for quick precision adjustment and a super stiff carbon sole that guarantees pedalling efficiency at top speeds. Lightweight TPU studs are used on the outer tread and heel cap to increase grip when riding and walking. The wrap-around upper ensures comfort with an excellent fit and has been finished with a unique inkjet finish. In addition, the Shimano Dynalast shoe last technology promotes power transfer and counteracts premature fatigue. The SH-RX801R can unleash their full performance in combination with SPD pedals.
