Lychees are small tropical fruits with a rough, red-pink skin that is easy to peel. Inside is juicy, white and glassy flesh with a sweet, floral and slightly fresh taste. In the center is a large, shiny kernel that is inedible. Lychees are usually eaten fresh, but also used in desserts, juices, cocktails and Asian dishes. They are popular for their aromatic scent and unique, refreshing taste.
