Passion fruits are small, round tropical fruits with a hard skin that can be yellow, purple or dark brown when ripe. Inside is fragrant, gelatinous flesh with edible black seeds. The taste is intensely fresh, sweet and sour at the same time, with a strong aromatic character. Passion fruits are often eaten fresh, but also used in juices, desserts, cocktails, yogurt and sauces. They are popular for their distinct taste and tropical aroma.
