The protector pads are made of a biobased viscoelastic material with a structure that is pliable in all directions, yet able to effectively dissipate impact force. The main material consists of a highly breathable mesh stretch fabric, and the abrasion-resistant outer material that covers the protector pockets affords additional durability. The jacket is also equipped with a belt to keep the chest protector in place, while silicone panels on the hems along the bottom and the sleeves provide additional hold. All padding can be easily removed before washing the jacket, making maintenance a snap.
