This set of 25 pairs of metalic carbon disc brake cubes is suitable for the SRAM Red Race. With Elvedes you choose a good price/quality ratio and with the steel Elvedes Discovery Display you always have the right brake pads within reach in the workplace.
- Compound: There are three different compounds available within the Elvedes range. The organic compound is ideal for dry conditions and suitable for MTB, trekking and racing bikes. The sintered compound is ideal for wet conditions and suitable for MTB. The metallic carbon (semi-metal) compound is ideal for both wet and dry weather conditions and suitable for e-bikes.
- Lifetime: after the assembly of the new brake pads it is important to inhibit them, this extends the lifespan.
- Inhibiting: To improve the lifetime of the disc brake cubes, we recommend inhibiting them. Keep the brake lever on slightly while you drive and make sure the brake pads touch the brake disc. Drive about 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and brake at the end a little harder to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. Then slowly increase the speed while slightly braking. Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure that the new brake pads are well finished.
