It is made of CNC-milled, heat-treated premium steel and has a nitrocarburised surface, i.e. enriched with nitrogen and carbon. This is why it is many times harder than the standard chainrings often found on e-bikes. The Super Steel chainring thus proves to be particularly wear-resistant, which benefits the service life of the entire drivetrain. Especially with the high torques generated by e-bike motors, a hard, resistant chainring is an advantage.
