SWS Vario Extra is a fully adhesive, moisture-regulating foil with a 2 or 3-part release liner and 1 opposing self-adhesive strip, also with release liner, for the airtight and watertight sealing of connections around windows, doors and panels. SWS Vario Extra can be applied on both the inside and outside. Due to its special properties, the Sd-value adapts to the seasonal differences in temperature and humidity that occur in the connection joints. This allows for weather-independent moisture transport from inside to outside or from outside to inside. There are 2 methods for applying SWS Vario Extra. You can work with a single strip or with 4 separate strips. In both cases, extra material must be provided for the corners (approx. 5 to 10 cm per corner). After unrolling, adhere the foil, with the exposed adhesive strip (on the text side), to the side of the building element OR remove the release liner from the adhesive strip on the non-text side and adhere the foil to the front of the building element. Always ensure that the text is legible and facing the visible side. Remove the remaining release liner evenly. Adhere the foil, not too tightly, to the rough construction to accommodate any movements between the different building elements. The adhesive layer of the foil is pressure-sensitive; the firmer you press, the better the adhesion. If possible, use a pressure roller. Adhesive residues can be removed with soap and water.
