Revell's model of the French Panhard 178, Pz.204, is a German armored car, French-made during World War II. The car was 4.79 meters long and 2.01 meters wide. It was powered by a single-engine Panhard I SK engine developing 105 hp, enabling a top road speed of 72 km/h. Standard main armament consisted of a 25 mm cannon and a single machine gun. The Pz.204 (f) is actually another name for the highly successful French Panhard 178 armored car, used by the French armed forces in 1934. Vehicles of this type were used during the Western European campaign of 1940, and their quality was quickly appreciated by the German army, which quickly adopted captured vehicles for its own line. After the capitulation of France in June 1940, production of these cars continued for the needs of the German army and lasted until 1944!
