The FD-R7100 features an innovative toggle link design that gives you more cable routing options. The integrated tensioner facilitates adjustment, allows on-the-go adjustments, and makes for a cleaner cockpit by eliminating the need for an in-line shift cable adjuster. In keeping with the trend towards wider tires, the model has generous tire clearance. It is available for braze-on and for clamp mounting, so that it can be easily installed on your bike. The front derailleur is partly made of steel and partly of plastic, which provides more durability and keeps the weight low. The braze-on version weighs about 50 grams less than its electronic counterpart.
