The Boya USB Studio Microphone by PM500 is a condenser microphone, suitable for various recordings such as speech, interviews, conference calls, singing, instruments and podcasts. This functional microphone has two recording characteristics:
- Cardioid: Sounds of the front are absorbed, while sounds are ignored from other sides. Suitable for dialogues, podcasts and speeches.
- Omnidirectional: Sounds of all sides are evenly recorded. Suitable for a lively, natural registration of voice sounds, conversations and surroundings.
The BY PM500 is compatible with Windows and MacOS and comes with a USB-A and USB-C cable. It can also be used with other devices with a USB-C port, such as smartphones and tablets. The microphone can easily be used with software such as Audacity or Audition to make and save sound recordings. Moreover, the microphone is fed by the connected device, so that batteries are not necessary.
The microphone can be placed on a tripod using the 5/8 "female thread on the bottom. In addition, the microphone has a volume controller and a button to switch between the different recording characteristics. A headphone can be connected via the 3.5 mm output on the bottom for real-time listening.
