A compact watercolor paint set with twelve colors inspired by the Vincent van Goghs color palette Portrait of Camille Roulin. Camille was the youngest son of the mail officer Joseph Roulin, with whom Van Gogh was friends in Arles (France). Van Gogh wanted to make "modern portraits" in which the character of his model came into its own. "I try with color," he wrote to his sister Willemien. The blue of the beret, the green and red of the jacket and the yellow of the background: all the colors can be found in Camilles face.
