The DHG (digital high grade) circular polarization filters are filters that are often used for special situations. For example, photographing objects behind glass, for example in a museum, can be suppressed the mirroring effect of the glass using a polarization filter. You can choose by turning the front part of the filter whether the water is mirroring, or whether you want to photograph "the depth". Also think of snow, plants recording or photographing a window. A circular polarization is nice to use for landscape photos, by turning the circular polarization you can make different colors of blue appear. Another effect of using a polarization filter is that a cloudy sky gets much more contrast.
