Studioking Macro LED Ring lamp Dimmable RL-160

The RL-160 of Studioking is a universal ring lamp with a capacity of 10W and a CRI value of 95+. Thanks to the supplied adapters you can easily attach the RL-130 to your camera lens. In one simple movement, put the desired adapter firmly into the ring lamp. Then it is a matter of seconds to attach the RL-160 on your lens. The RL-160 has a color temperature of 5600K. You can set the brightness between 10% and 100%, spread over 20 steps. You can easily place the RL-160 on a 1/4 inch male thread. With the supplied adapter it is possible to slide the RL-160 on the hotshoe of your camera. The RL-160 is supplied with electricity by means of 6 AA batteries (not included). A separate adapter cable is also included, which makes it possible to connect the RL-130 to a universal power adapter (DC 6-17 volts, not included).

Application RL-160

There are various options for using the RL-160. When taking portrait photos, you create nice circles in the eyes with the model (see example photo). Also when taking macro photos and photographing regular smaller objects, the RL-160 provides the right light. Because the LEDs are around the lens, shadows in your photo are kept to a minimum. The LEDs emit their light at an angle of 45 degrees. This results in a fairly large reach; Even over a distance of a few meters you can still see results. The supplied adapters are suitable for lenses with a diameter of 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm and 67mm.

Differences RL-130, RL-130 and MRC-80FV

The RL-130 is a real basic ring lamp, which is only used for close-up photos. In addition to continuous mode, there is also a mode where only light is radiated when taking a photo, but this light is no fiercer than normal continuous lighting. With the MRC-80FV there is a real flash when taking a photo. The RL-160 is the most powerful of the three, which also has the largest range. The RL-160 only broadcasts continuous light.
