De Clydesdale is een paardenras dat gefokt is om grote, goed geproportioneerde voeten en gezonde benen te hebben, zodat ze op harde, steile wegen kunnen lopen. Ze hebben langere benen en een meer gestroomlijnd lichaam dan de meeste trekrassen. Dit paardenras staat bekend als de Clydesdale en is afkomstig uit de Clyde Valley in Lanarkshire, Schotland. Het is het enige levende zware paard uit Schotland.
