De Schwalbe Big Apple Race is een zwarte buitenband van 18x2.00/50-355 formaat. Deze band is speciaal ontworpen voor comfortabel fietsen zonder veertechnieken. Met luchtkussenbanden als natuurlijke vering, rolt de balloonbike wonderbaarlijk licht en biedt volledige veerwerking. In vergelijking met een normale band van 37 mm breedte, hoeft de Big Apple slechts tot 2 bar opgepompt te worden om vergelijkbaar goed te rollen. Deze band is geschikt voor E-bikes met een trapondersteuning tot 25 km/u. Voor snellere E-bikes, de S-pedelecs, worden banden aanbevolen die tot 50 km/u zijn goedgekeurd.
