Description

This ALLTEQ jack cable is used as a headset splitter to divide a combined 3.5 mm 4-pole jack connection into separate connections for audio and microphone. This allows a headset or separate microphone to be connected to devices with a combined headset port. The cable features one 3.5 mm jack male connector (4-pole) and two 3.5 mm jack female connectors (3-pole). One connection is used for the audio signal and the other for the microphone connection. The splitter supports stereo audio and features gold-plated contacts for a stable electrical connection and protection against oxidation. Specifications Brand: ALLTEQ Cable type: jack splitter cable Audio type: analog audio connection Connector 1: 3.5 mm jack male (4-pole) Connector 2: 3.5 mm jack female (audio) Connector 3: 3.5 mm jack female (microphone) Connector type: TRRS to 2 × TRS Standard: OMTP headset standard Mono / stereo: stereo with microphone Contact material: gold-plated Length: 0.12 meters Warranty: 5 years Certifications: CE, RoHS, REACH, WEEE Explanation 3.5 mm jack: a commonly used audio connector for headphones, AUX connections, and portable audio equipment. This connection is used on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and various audio devices. TRRS connector: a jack connector with four contacts (Tip, Ring, Ring, and Sleeve). This allows stereo audio and a microphone signal to be transmitted via a single connection. OMTP standard: an older headset standard for 4-pole jack connections where the pin order consists of left audio, right audio, microphone, and ground. This standard was used in several older smartphones. TRS connector: a jack connector with three contacts (Tip, Ring, and Sleeve) used for stereo audio or for separate audio and microphone connections. Gold-plated contacts: a thin layer of gold on the contact surface of the connector that reduces oxidation and ensures a stable electrical connection. Applications • Splitting a combined headset connection into audio and microphone • Connecting a separate microphone and headphones to a device with a headset port • Use with devices with a 3.5 mm OMTP headset connection • Connection between headsets and portable audio devices Types of jack connectors 6.3 mm jack: a larger jack connector primarily used in professional audio equipment, musical instruments, and studio installations. 3.5 mm jack: a smaller jack connector widely used in consumer electronics such as smartphones, laptops, tablets, and portable audio devices. 2.5 mm jack: a compact jack connector used in headsets, walkie-talkies, and specialized audio equipment. Explanation of jack configurations TS (Tip-Sleeve): a jack configuration with two contact points. The tip carries the audio signal, and the sleeve acts as ground. TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve): a jack configuration with three contact points. This allows two audio signals to be transmitted, for example, a left and right channel for stereo audio. TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve): a jack configuration with four contact points. This type of connection makes it possible to transmit a microphone signal in addition to stereo audio via the same connector. Explanation of audio signals Balanced audio: a method for audio transmission that uses two signal wires and a ground. Unbalanced audio: a form of audio transmission that uses one signal wire and one ground wire. Stereo audio: an audio system that uses two separate channels: a left and a right channel. Mono audio: an audio system that uses only one audio channel. Explanation of certifications CE: indicates that the product complies with European directives for safety, health, and environmental protection. RoHS: European directive that restricts the use of hazardous substances such as lead, mercury, and cadmium. REACH: European regulation for the registration and control of chemical substances in products. WEEE: directive for the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
