The AGM WOLF-14 NL1 is a mid-range monocular with a residual light intensifier, featuring a Generation 2+ image tube in traditional night vision white. The Wolf-14 is a budget-friendly alternative to the popular PVS-14 residual light intensifiers. The night vision device has a 1x optical magnification and a wide 42-degree field of view. This makes it a very suitable replacement for the human eye in situations where you can barely see anything.
The night vision device features a Gen2+ generation picture tube (IIT). This tube displays the surroundings in the classic white image you're undoubtedly familiar with from television. This is also called white phosphor. The IIT amplifies any residual or ambient light thousands of times. This allows you to work for extended periods without an infrared illuminator, as it can convert even a minimal amount of residual light into a visual image. An IR illuminator would, after all, immediately reveal your position to other people wearing night vision devices. However, if you're in a dark room without any residual light, you can simply switch on the built-in IR illuminator. You can adjust the power and size of the infrared beam yourself.
The included head mounting kit allows you to use the residual light intensifier hands-free. With the appropriate accessories, you can also attach the device to a helmet. The device is compact, lightweight, robust, and of course, waterproof. A single CR123A battery (included) provides up to 40 hours of use.
