Description

The Grand Prix 5000 heralds a new era in cycling. The Grand Prix 5000 is the perfect combination of comfort, puncture resistance, grip, and rolling resistance. This tire is superior in every way to its predecessor, the Grand Prix 4000S II. With reduced rolling resistance, the Grand Prix 5000 is a full 12% faster. It is also 20% more puncture-resistant and 10 grams lighter. This tire also offers greater comfort while riding, thanks to Active Comfort Technology. The tire construction consists of a 3-ply 330 TPI carcass, supplemented with a finer woven Vectran breaker and a new elastomer layer. The tread is made of Black Chili Compound, which ensures optimal grip and durability. The tire shoulder has a subtle aerodynamic pattern with Lazer Grip Texturing, which improves handling in corners. This folding tire has a black sidewall and is suitable for 28-inch wheels.
