But before you start laminating, it's a good idea to know the difference between hot laminating and cold laminating. With hot lamination, it is the heat itself that melts the plastic. Cold laminating uses a type of glue that ensures that the two sides stay together. Fortunately, we have laminating pouches that are suitable for both types of laminating. View our range of different laminating pouches, laminating machines and laminating films so you have everything to hand before you start. Laminating doesn't have to be complicated – it's surprisingly simple, as long as you have the right covers. Open the laminating pouch and place the desired paper, photo or cardboard inside. Set the laminating machine to a temperature appropriate for the thickness of the cover. Feed it through the machine with the curved side first. Note: Our covers fit all hot laminating machines - and remember that the more microns thick, the stronger and stiffer the cover after laminating.
