This set of 25 pairs of Metalic Carbon disc brake pads is suitable for the SRAM Red Race. With Elvedes, you're choosing excellent value, and with the steel Elvedes Discovery display, you'll always have the right brake pads at hand in the workshop.
- Compound: Elvedes offers three different compounds. The organic compound is ideal for dry conditions and suitable for mountain biking, trekking, and road bikes. The sintered compound is ideal for wet conditions and suitable for mountain biking. The metallic carbon (semi-metallic) compound is ideal for both wet and dry conditions and suitable for e-bikes.
- Service life: After installing the new brake pads, it is important to bed them in; this will extend their service life.
- Bedding-in: To improve the lifespan of your disc brake pads, we recommend bedding them in. While riding, gently pull the brake lever and ensure the pads are in contact with the brake disc. Ride for about 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour (15 mph), then brake more firmly at the end to reduce your speed to about 5 kilometers per hour (3 mph). Then slowly increase your speed while braking lightly. Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure the new brake pads are properly bedded in.
