The FLIR Scion OTM266 is a thermal imaging camera specifically designed for observations in complete darkness, poor weather conditions, and the most challenging landscapes. Unique to this thermal camera is its exceptionally wide 24x18-degree field of view. With the Scion OTM (Outdoor Thermal Monocular), you're ready to capture any encounter with a person or animal.

You now have access to the most high-tech options, such as the new 640x512 (12µm) Boson detector, three observation modes, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and endless photo and video recording. The 12µm boson detector gives you a superior viewing experience, combining pixels from multiple images in real time (60Hz). This quadruples the image resolution! You can increase the standard 1x optical magnification to 2x, 4x, and 8x using digital zoom.

Observation modes

The OTM266 features three observation modes. You can use the standard Scouting Mode to observe as you normally would. A new feature is Lock-Span Mode , which filters out unwanted temperatures you don't want to be visible. Think of very cold or hot temperatures, or bright objects like the sky and fire. This only colors the objects you want to focus on; filtered objects are displayed in black. The third mode is Picture-in-Picture , which allows you to zoom in on a specific object (2x) without losing the rest of the field of view.
